When to admit defeat

Sitting outside watching birds in the outdoor flight my thoughts are to which birds to keep for the forthcoming breeding season. A couple of birds may have to go after trying for over a year to get the birds fit for breeding. I have run out of ideas with these birds they have had the best food and supplements but no matter whatever l have tried these birds always seem lethargic and never interested in breeding.

Not knowing the history of the birds is not ideal and the previous breeders may have had the same problem and this may be why the birds were sold.The birds are definitely not going light so unless they improve soon they will be going with the other selections and l will have to accept defeat.
