Birmingham Budgerigar Society’s August monthly meeting began with the minutes of the previous meeting being read followed by the show manager’s reports of the open show which was held on Saturday 8th August 2015.
Bruce Greenway and the committee thanked all the members that helped to make the event a success despite the number of birds entered being down on previous years.
Bruce then tested our knowledge of budgerigars by challenging the members to identify the varieties of each of the 12 birds on display and then to enter the birds into the correct class from the schedule supplied.
No prizes, just a informal test of our knowledge, not being into lacewings or dilutes l must say l struggled with the identification of these type of birds. It enough for me to breed the normal varieties without complicating matters.
In time this may change but for now it ino’s, spangles and normals are for me.
